About Us

We are Tiffany & Tyler Cagwin: two yogis who love to sail, travel, eat good food and surround ourselves with amazing, inspiring people. Tiffany owns a couple of yoga studios and Tyler works for his family’s mortgage bank, but we have always dreamed of building a business together and are thrilled to be bringing Nostalgia Chocolate Company to life!

Our chocolate is born out of a desire to live fully and be more present in the moment. On our honeymoon sailing slowly down the Windward Island chain in the Caribbean, we tasted real chocolate for the first time in our lives. The chocolate dreamed up and realized by Mott Greene at the Grenada Chocolate Company left a lasting impact on us.

The seed that was planted then did not immediately produce the dream, but over the years through various experiences it was growing.  Then one snowy day, the idea came to Tyler in a spark of inspiration and it was so clear to him. He said to Tiffany, “I want to make chocolate!”, and once it was spoken into being, there was no stopping the momentum.

Tyler began studying the process of how to make chocolate from scratch, or as it’s referred to in the industry, “bean to bar”. As he was learning the craft, we would spend hours talking about our vision of this company. Something we realized we had in common was a longing for ‘'simpler times"…for the good ol’ days where things were made by hand with quality ingredients, families worked together, and stores/restaurants were a place to connect with community.  How we wanted our family business to feel led to us naming the company Nostalgia.  We view making chocolate as a perfect way to share something we love that will make people smile and create opportunities for conversations, storytelling, connection and memories.

Our love of the world around us has led us to create a bar that is ethically and sustainably sourced to support the farmers in the origins where our beans are grown. Our packaging is recyclable in an attempt to leave as small of a footprint on our world as we can.
